We were lucky to have the Stovell Tennis Center for this match due to the rain that hit just as we were about to start. Many alumni, parents, and students were able to enjoy some great tennis in this amazing venue. Leading off with doubles, Kyan and Hunter were up against a flashy and hard hitting number one team that showed off some incredible winners. Staying the course, our #1 St. Paul's duo was able to hold serve late in the set and finish them off in the end. Max and Alex were entertaining at #2 with tons of movement and quality volleys. Peter and Cesc were executing well at the net in their win at 3. In singles, Peter, Max, and Hunter went out first. Peter looked comfortable dictating points in the #6 slot. Max was holding serve well with some big first serves. Hunter had to weather the storm of an athletic and hard hitting new number one, but had enough answers to overtake his opponent. Alex, Cesc, and Kyan were the last to go out. Cesc was super steady and looked solid in his win. Alex's lefty serve and crafty play was more than KUA's former #1 could handle. Kyan looked comfortable placing ground strokes around the court in his win. It was a pleasure to have this team represent St. Paul's Tennis in front of so many people today! Next up we face Milton at home on Monday, May 4. Go Big Red!
