B1: all three crews got out cleanly with Brunswick taking the early lead over St. Paul's and BC High.  By 500m, Brunswick had extended their lead to ½ length, with SPS taking ½ length on BC High.  In the middle 500m St. Paul's pushed back on Brunswick, closing the gap to ¼ length and extending their lead over BC High to open water.  In the third 500m Brunswick responded to St. Paul's push, extending their lead back to ½ length as St. Paul's extended their lead over BC High.

B2: all three crews got out cleanly with Brunswick establishing an early lead over BC High and BC High establishing an early lead over St. Paul's.  At 500m Brunswick had extended their lead over BC High to clear water and BC High had extended their lead over St. Paul's to clear water.  St. Paul's tried to close the gap in the middle 500m, gaining some ground on BC High as Brunswick moved away from both crews.  In the third 500m Brunswick extended their lead, and BC High held clear water over St. Paul's.

B3: all three crews started well, with Brunswick and St, Paul's establishing an early lead over BC High.  At 500m Brunswick and SPS were still very close, with Brunswick holding a slight advantage and BC High working to maintain contact with the others.  In the middle 500m St. Paul's and Brunswick pressed for advantage, but neither could build a clear lead as they both pulled away from BC High.  In the third 500m Brunswick was able to press ahead of St. Paul's to finish with a ¾ length margin with BC High in third.

B4: both crews started well, with Brunswick taking a clear early advantage.  St. Paul's responded well, and by 500m the crews were nearly level.  The crews raced well through the middle 500m with Brunswick gaining a ¾ length lead.  In the third 500m St. Paul's sprinted well to challenge Brunswick, but fell 1/3 length short in a highly competitive well rowed race.

Overall, this was a good day of racing for the boys' crews.  While it is still early season racing, the ability to respond to the challenge BC High and Brunswick posed and the effort to race to their ability showed the prospect of building speed in May.
