The day after the SPS Varsity golf team secured its first ever win against the Wildcats from Kimball Union Academy, SPS sent its JV Golf Team to play against KUA's JV team and achieved a similar result. Traveling up to Newport Golf Club in Newport NH, the Big Red played strong golf up and down the ladder as they earned a dominant 8.5 – 0.5 victory, with each player on the ladder earning points for the Big Red.

Avery Ferraris. Both golfers played well together, with Matt shooting a 2 over par round of 37 to win 4&3, and Avery shooting a 41 to win his match 4&2. Matt and Avery combined to win their Best Ball match 2&1 to sweep the first three points of the match. Not to be outdone by the golfers at the first and second spot, #3 Sammy Pargiolas and #4
Nolan Chen achieved another 3-0 sweep in the second round. Sammy shot the round of the day, punctuated by an improbable up-and-down for bogey on the ninth hole to card a 1 over par round of 36. He won his match 5&3, and his playing partner Nolan shot a 42 to win 4&3. They won their combined best ball as well, 4&3. With the overall match won, #5 Gabby Smith and #6
Hannah Hwang brought in 2.5 more points for the Big Red in the final match. Gabby shot a 48 and split her match with her opponent, while Hannah shot a 51 and won her match 3&2. Gabby and Hannah combined for a Best Ball win with a final score of 3&2, securing a statement victory for the Big Red: 8.5 – 0.5.
The Big Red golfers will have one more practice before heading for a Lakes Region Competition on Saturday against the Holderness School at Beaver Meadow Golf Course, where they will look to build upon the momentum and good golf from the past two days.
