The St. Paul's Golf team traveled to Newport, NH to take on the Wildcats of KUA in a Lakes Region matchup and secured the victory with a score of 5 – 4. This matchup was back-and-forth throughout the ladder, and each member of the team fought hard to earn the team victory. In the first pairing for the Big Red, #1

William Birks got off to a good start, earning 2 of the 3 points available in the match. Ryan shot the best round of the day with a 38 and won his matchup, while the pairing of Ryan and William played well together to win their best ball matchup, making the overall team score 2 – 1after the first round. In the second round, KUA bounced back, sweeping all three points available. #3

Callum Green each had strong days, shooting a 42 and 40 respectively. However, their Wildcat opponents were too strong this day, as they swept both the individual matchups and the best ball matchup. After the first two rounds, the Big Red were down 2 – 4 and on the brink, needing a big performance from the final two golfers to win the match. #5

Nolan Chen delivered, sweeping all three points and earning the overall victory with a score of 5 – 2. Chay shot a 41 and Nolan shot a 42 to overwhelm their opponents in both the individual match and the combined best ball performance. The Big Red will quickly shift their focus to their next match, as they will host Holderness on Saturday at the Concord Country Club for the final regular season Lakes Region Contest.
